EFTF-UFFC Student-Exhibitor Networking Event

The 2017 EFTF-IFCS in Besancon, France, will host for the second time the student-networking event. The motivation is to connect students close to graduation with jobs in industry and academia in the area of time transfer and frequency control.

Why have this event?

The motivation is to retain the great talent we observe each year attending the annual conference in a related field beyond graduation. The vast job opportunities in the field of time transfer and frequency control are often unclear to students, and this event tries to address this by very specifically introducing prospective students to the exhibitors of the conference who are representatives from industries and academia.

How does it work?

The event will take place on Wednesday, July 12th from 18:00 pm to 20:00 pm at the lunch room in the convention center. The first part consists of an 80-min slot, in which 20 students will be each allotted 4 min to present their profile to conference exhibitors. The presentation should consist of a 1 page cover slide and up to 2 content slides. Please use template provided for cover slide which contains your contact information, graduation date, skills and interests.
The second part of the event is a 30-min industry panel discussion where exhibitor representatives talk about their work, their companies or research labs and students also have a chance to ask exhibitors questions. In the end, there is an award ceremony for exhibitors to thank them for their contributions to the EFTF-IFCS conference.

For students: How to register?

Due to limited capacity, only 20 students will be selected to present in front of exhibitors. A committee of 3 will decide on the top 20 candidates among all the applicants. Students who are expected to look for jobs/internships around May 2018 or sooner are given priorities.
The registration will close UTC 23:59pm, July 1, 2017.
